Countax C600H

My elderly Countax C600 loses power when the cutting deck is engaged and eventually grinds to a halt. The groundcare company that services it can't find any faults. Any ideas as to what is causing this problem?

Check the belt isn't slipping

Drive your machine against a wall to stop it from being able to move forward, put you machine on full throttle, release the handbrake and press the forward pedal.

Get someone to look at the gearbox fan....

Does it continue to run at the same speed ? ( if so you have an internal issue in the gearbox )

If the fan slows down the the belt is slipping ( check and free up any linkages )
